"Dagwood Dusseldorf"

Sometime after June 9th, 1944, a German voice could be heard over a bullhorn in the French town of Neuville. Known as "Dagwood Dusseldorf," the voice spread propaganda intended to lower the morale of Allied soldiers fighting to take the town from theĀ Germans. Among his creative reports was the distressing news that the Statue of Liberty had been destroyed.

Notes

Stephan Grothgar is credited as both "German #3" and "Voice on Bullhorn" and it can be assumed that he is the voice of Dagwood Dusseldorf.
